New CEU: NTI’s TERM Lite Training
In my current position, I work quite a bit with TERM Lite. I have a fairly in-depth knowledge of the tool right down to the actual code of the model. When you download the model from the FTA Website (www.fta.dot.gov/13248_13251.html), the model is pretty much a black box, but I have had the change to open it up and take a look at the inner workings. Coming this fall, I plan on submitted a paper to the Transportation Research Board on some of the work that I have done surrounding TERM Lite Asset Types.
Despite where I am currently, there are always people in the industry who have much more experience with the model and have been deeply involved in the development of the software tool. One of those people is Rick Laver of CH2M Hill, who gave the two day NTI course below. It was great to be able to discuss the model with him and get some of the lingering questions that I had answered.
